Launching next month, an extension to this The London Leatherman ‘Talking About The Kit’ page is the radio show Dave Carroll Exposed, on Radio Free Pimlico.

Expect conversations with guests talking London style, scenes, sub-cultures and their corresponding tunes.

The London Leatherman connection to Pimlico begins in the 1960s when Ken (The London Leatherman, Founder) lived in a flat above the Tesco on Warwick Way, SW1. From this flat he tailored the first pairs of trousers he was somehow able to acquire from sailors in bulk of which he’d peg in from waist to knee, letting them flare out from the knee. These were sold on the Kings Road at the famous Chelsea Antique Market stall Emmerton & Lambert and had a major influence on mid 60s and 70s fashion with many historians pinpointing these to being the first flares and where the fashion for the flared trouser style originated.
